I am a PhD candidate in Marketing at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

My research examines how consumers make inferences from marketplace cues and how those inferences shape judgments, decisions, and social interactions. I am particularly interested in the visual, verbal, and social signals consumers encounter in the marketplace and the psychological processes through which they interpret them. My work explores these questions in the contexts of environmental communication, product packaging, and gift giving. By combining theories from consumer psychology and information processing with behavioral experiments, field studies, and incentive-compatible designs, I seek to generate insights that contribute to both marketing theory and practice.

Before joining Michigan, I earned an M.S. in Marketing from Seoul National University and a B.B.A. from Sogang University.
